Krishna
and Radha under a Rainshawl
Statue in Two Sizes
As a youth, Krishna enchanted and intoxicated the cowherd women (gopis)
with his flute playing. He teased them and made love to them. His favorite was
the beautiful Radha, who took many risks to meet her dark lover.
Here she is teasing Krishna back, taking refuge with him under the rain shawl,
hiding his flute from him.

Materials: The image for this statue was sculpted and touched-up in a
larger size, then miniaturized. Figures are individually cast by hand, each one
antiqued and polished to highlight its details. The ivory substitute is a
proprietary casting material that is warm to the touch and very durable.
Try adding a drop of aromatic oil on the porous backs!
