LA PERI STATUE
MUSICIAN TO THE GODS STATUE

La Peri Statue  La Peri Statue  La Peri side view
La Peri Statue: Musician to the Gods

This stunning cold cast bronze statue is 11 inches wide and 10 1/2 inches high featuring the Musician to the Gods on a winged dragon. Hand painted color accents and very fine detail makes this a truly stunning piece. Felt base.

As the musician to the Gods, La Peri holds the Flower of Immortality and a musical lute. A 1912 Paris ballet called La Peri ("The Fairy'), composed by Paul Dukas for a Russian dancer, Natasha Truhanova, tells the story of the great Magi Iskander who realized his star was waning and spent three years searching for the Flower of Immortality.

Upon reaching the end of the Earth, he comes upon the sleeping La Peri at the Gates of Paradise, where he sees she holds the flower of immortality in her hand. Without waking her, Iskender steals the Flower and falls in love with her.
