The Moon, with
her borrowed light, looks down on the nocturnal world. The path of the spirit
winds between the two towers of duality, of good and evil, light and darkness. A
dog and a wolf, enslaved to the terror of darkness and ignorance, howl with
fear. A crayfish climbs out of the water to begin the path of the spirit. Thus
the spirit must overcome the terrors of darkness and ignorance to find its way

of The World Tarot:

The World card
pictures a dancer in a Yoni (sometimes made of laurel leaves), symbolizing the
great Mother, the cervix through which everything is born, and also the doorway
to the next life after death. It is indicative of a complete circle. The Dancer
has one leg crossed over the other, just like the Hanged man. She is, in a
sense, his opposite, the hanged man right-side-up. As the Hanged Man saw
infinitely inward, the Dancer sees infinitely outward. Which brings us to the
Lion, Bull, Cherub and Eagle standing for Leo, Taurus, Aquarius and Scorpio, the
fixed signs of the Zodiac (these link the ever turning World card to the ever
turning Wheel of Fortune), and so symbolic of the four elements, four compass
points and the four corners of the universe. All within the Dancer's sight and
power.
The World card represents a successful conclusion, all aspects accounted for and
taken in. The end to a long-term project is in sight, and that it will be
accompanied by well-earned praise, celebration and success. The World card
indicates travel, maybe a lecture tour, book signing, or just a trip around the

Removal of Obstacles
A tower, built upon
a solid rock foundation, is struck by lightening and begins to crumble. The
crown of heaven is falling and, removed from its proteection, both kind and
queen are tumbling to their doom. The picture is one of removal and cleansing of
that which has been constricted. The pendant can symbolize the destruction of
ego but may also show physical desplacements. The positive aspect is that the
bedrock remains, revealing the possibility of seeing ultimate reality freed of
artificial constructs. When the Querent gets this card, they can expect to be
shaken up, to be blinded by a shocking revelation. It sometimes takes that to
see a truth that one refuses to see. Or to bring down beliefs that are so well
constructed. What's most important to remember is that the tearing down of this
structure, however painful, makes room for something new to be built.
