This exquisite Brass Hindu Parvati goddess statue measures 10 inches high.
Very nice quality brass, with a bronze-colored finish for inside decor. To
invite the green patina of weathering to this statue's finish, just leave it out
in the rain and elements. She is substantially weighted at 8.7 pounds and
perfect for a metal feng shui corner.
Parvati, "daughter of the mountains" (Himalayas), is a benign goddess
and wife of Shiva and the mother of Ganesha. In this brass statue, Parvati (also
sometimes spelled Parvathi or Parvathy) is seen in a pose of open
receptivity as she reaches out to heal and sooth.
Parvati is the consort of Shiva with whom she is often portrayed as an idealized
divine family, along with their children Ganesh and Skanda. A very benevolent
goddess, she absorbs Shiva's spiritual and sexual energy and releases it in the
world for the benefit of all.
