Hecate, Triple Goddess Statue

Beautifully detailed statue of the Goddess Hecate - goddess of the three
paths, goddess of witchcraft, guardian of the household, protector of the newly
born.
Here she is depicted standing on a crossroads with her torch and birthing knife
and 2 Greyhound Companions. Very rich in detail and symbolism.
Made of hand finished cold cast bronze, this statue measures 13 inches from
torch tip to base X 4 inch wide in the middle. The goddess stands about 11
inches from head to toe.
This statue is broken at the wrist. Thinned at the wrist
where it's glued but very hard to see or photograph because it look so good!
Fully repaired when shipped.

This statue has been repaired in several places. One is
where the torch normally meets the hip. Filled in with black marker and glued
slightly higher. Also, torch is chipped. Bob has done a fantastic job of
repairing this statue and you can't even see these defects from a few feet away.

Resin Statue with Hand finished antiquing
Size: 10 3/8"h x 8 1/2"w x 5 1/2"d
26.35cm high x 21.59cm wide x 13.97cm deep
The damage: This Brigid's hand was not finished once it
got out of the mold, so it needs to be filed or shaved down. Also the moon crown
appears to have been cracked or defective, as well as a place on the wrist of
the statue. Click on images to view in detail.
Brigid, one of the most popular Celtic Goddesses is a vast deity and can assist
her devotees with nearly any endeavor. She is depicted here as the three sisters
or three of the many aspects of this Goddess: Midwife -
healer/nurturer/herbalist, Blacksmith - keeper of fire/craftswoman/transformer
and Poetess - bringer of wisdom/guidance/prophecy. The three who-are-one stand
on a crescent-shaped base. Symbols of her worship are hidden throughout the
piece Brigid's cross; the flaming arrow; Brigid's bed; the bush near her sacred
wells, which are tied with prayers and wishes on scraps of cloth, to mention a
few. Many of the names she is known by encompass the base, even one written in
ogham.

The Crescent-Crowned Goddess is a classic image of the feminine divine power on
earth. Our statue is designed in the form of a herm, which in ancient times was
a sacred object of stone. Over the course of time the sacred herm stone
gradually evolved into the form of a god or goddess. This herm of the
crescent-crowned goddess captures her rustic character and honors the ancestor
connection to this ancient pagan goddess-form. The base of the Crescent-Crowned
Goddess statue features the words
“I evoke the dark sacred night.”
