Amber Jewelry
Amber Pendants and Earrings with Semi-Precious Stones

Amber is a natural organic material that has been used since Neolithic times for sacred ornamentation. Celtic legends relate the story of the Goddess Freya's tears being amber drops. Luminous amber is fossilized tree resin and symbolizes the light of the sun.

Although our pendants and earrings are very clear, every piece of Amber is 30 to 90 million years old and contains inclusions of insects, leaves, seeds, feathers, gems and perhaps even a bit of dinosaur. It can range in color from a golden honey color to a deep orange/brown and there is even some amber that is a cream color.

Related to the fire element, it is thought to dispels gloom, instills positive energy, bring wisdom, balance & patience. Amber is a healing stone that offers the wearer revitalization, stimulating joy and cleansing. It has been associated with the properties of protection, intuition, luck, healing & strength.

Long term submersion in water or solvents can damage the stone. Amber gets its name from the Greek "Ambrosia."
